This month, we have come back with more new features and enhancements that will definitely optimize your workflow. Let’s find out further in the following part.

What’s new in the September update of uPresenter?

In-app Team License Purchase

in this September update, you are able to upgrade your team license from free to Pro right inside the app without having to contact us and wait for our response.

Once you finish purchasing, your team account will be upgraded to the Pro plan immediately. The team owner can then easily manage the Pro license for every member as well as distribute the AI credits.

New Question Type: Drag The Words

The Drag the Words question is a new type of interactive question in uPresenter. It is a more specific case of a normal Drag-n-drop question.

Just like other interactive questions of uPresenter, with this question type, users will type a paragraph first. Then, select specific words from that paragraph and click the plus icon on the quick toolbar to serve as the correct answers. Below the main text box where users have input the paragraph, the selected words are already displayed in separate boxes. Users can choose to add incorrect words to serve as distractors.

The primary purpose of this question type is to test comprehension by having participants drag the correct words from a given list into the appropriate blanks within a text.

New Export Format: HTML5

We understand that exporting an interactive presentation or quiz to the HTML5 format is crucial for ensuring it can be widely accessed and viewed. Thus, in this update, we have added this feature to the Pro plan, allowing you to have a wider range of export options.

HTML5 is the modern web standard, which means the exported file can be played directly in any web browser (like Chrome, Firefox, or Safari) without needing special plugins or software. This provides universal compatibility across a wide range of devices, including desktops, laptops, tablets, and smartphones, making the content highly portable and shareable. Furthermore, HTML5 packages preserve the interactive elements, animations, and media, ensuring that the user experience is consistent and fully functional regardless of the platform.

New Object Style Option: Shadow

On the quick toolbar, next to the Opacity option, you will see this Shadow icon. From this September update, you can customize the shadow of any object on the canvas, from text box, image, video, to shape, icon, or quiz area. There are 9 available shadow types appearing after you click the icon. And, you can freely customize the distance, the blur radius, and the color as well.

New Action: Show Tooltip

uPresenter introduces a new eLearning action called Show Tooltip, enhancing the interactivity and instructional depth of your presentations. This feature allows creators to add dynamic, informative pop-ups for any object on a slide, such as shapes, text boxes, images, or videos.

To use it, simply select an object, go to the right-side Interactive pane, and choose Show Tooltip from the actions list. A new dialog box will appear, providing a rich editor where you can customize the tooltip's content with various text styles, colors, and even embed media or links.

When learners interact with the presentation, hovering their mouse over the designated object will reveal the tooltip, providing them with valuable, on-demand information without cluttering the main slide content.

Group Enhancement: Drag-n-drop Object Into/ From Group

This new Group enhancement feature in uPresenter revolutionizes how you manage objects within your projects. Previously, it was not possible to add or remove individual objects from a group directly within the Timeline pane.

Now, with a simple and intuitive drag-and-drop action, you can effortlessly add a new object to an existing group or remove one or more objects from it. This significant workflow improvement provides a more flexible and efficient way to organize and fine-tune your presentations directly from the Timeline.

Question Feedback: More Customization Options

In this new update, the question feedback has been significantly enhanced to provide a more tailored and effective learning experience. Users can now customize the feedback messages for both correct and incorrect answers, moving beyond generic responses to offer specific guidance.

To further enrich the feedback, you can add audio clips for each response type by choosing from built-in options or uploading new ones from your device. This gives learners auditory cues for their performance.

Additionally, you now have control over the navigation timing after an answer is submitted, allowing you to set a specific delay in seconds before the presentation automatically advances to the next slide.

These combined features enable creators to deliver more informative and dynamic quizzes.

Slider Question: More Refined UI

uPresenter has introduced a refined UI for its slider questions, providing a cleaner and more visually appealing design.

The new slider is characterized by a sleek, minimalist horizontal track and a visually striking teal handle, making it stand out and look modern.

This clean aesthetic extends to the settings pane, which is now more organized and intuitive, allowing for easy configuration of the initial, minimum, maximum, and step values. The result is a more polished and user-friendly experience that enhances the overall look of your interactive content.
